Why do I need to provide my ID documents to borofree?

Providing your ID documents is a legal requirement.

When you sign up to borofree, we will set you up with your own borofree Payments Account.

This is your account, not ours, and it has its own account number and sort code so payments can go in and out easily. It is only used to receive your wage or salary payment and send payments to borofree and you.

The account is provided by our partner Modulr who are registered with the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA).

In order to open the borofree Payments Account Modulr need to verify your identity and where you live.
